A kettlebell is a traditional Russian cast iron weight that looks like a cannonball with a handle. What you do with them is anything but traditional.

Kettlebell workouts marry balance, flexibility, strength training and cardiovascular endurance into a three-dimensional workout. In other words, Kettlebell exercises are typically compound movements that involve exertion in several planes and recruit a host of stabilizing muscles. Rather then isolating muscles and body parts kettlebells work the body as a whole.

The dynamic flexibility of a kettlebell grip means you can fluidly continue from one exercise to the next.
