Lori Post

As a registered dietitian for 15 years and with over 10 years in the fitness and wellness industry, Lori, is an experienced nutritionist in teaching and motivating individuals to achieve their nutrition, fitness and health goals. Lori’s approach focuses on establishing a healthy eating style that fits within her client’s lifestyle. Whether it is in a group setting or one on one, she enjoys inspiring people to make good food choices as a means to health promotion and disease prevention.

Lori earned a B.S. in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and completed her Dietetic Internship Program at Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas, Texas. As a dietitian for fourteen years, she has applied her skills in a wide variety of areas. She first became interested in nutrition as a competitive swimmer seeking to maximize her athletic performance through nutrition and fitness. Lori worked in clinical practice specializing in providing nutrition support for organ transplant and critically ill patients at Northwestern Memorial University Hospital in Chicago. There she also gained experience in diabetes and heart disease and developed a nutrition wellness and weight management program for patients following their recovery from organ transplantation.

After moving to the Indianapolis area in 1999, Lori moved from the clinical setting to private practice specializing in wellness and preventative nutrition therapy. As a nutrition consultant for Lifetime Fitness, Lori provided individual and group nutrition counseling services as well as monthly nutrition seminars on a variety of topics for club members. In addition, Lori worked with the Lifetime Fitness Corporate Wellness Program as a speaker for Indianapolis area corporations providing wellness seminars on nutrition, fitness and health related topics. Throughout her career, Lori has worked with a variety of athletes helping them to maximize their performance and reach their full potential through good nutrition.

Lori also enjoys providing community nutrition education through speaking and writing. She has authored numerous articles for area newspapers and magazines and conducted media appearances on current nutrition topics with CNN Headline News, BBC, ABC, WGN and Fox News.

As a member of the American Dietetic Association (ADA), she has current knowledge of the many issues arising in the fields of wellness, family and sports nutrition.
